Senior Software Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Software Engineer to join our fast-growing fintech startup. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and implementation of new product features and enhancements
- Mentor, guide and provide technical leadership to junior software engineers
- Optimize application code for maximal speed, scalability and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA and operations on feature requirements and timelines
- Investigate and resolve technical issues and bugs to ensure seamless product performance
- Actively contribute to team-wide code reviews, tech discussions and process improvements
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in software development
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering roles
- Expert proficiency in Java development and deep knowledge of the Java ecosystem
- Extensive experience designing and building applications on AWS cloud infrastructure
- Track record of developing high-quality, well-tested code in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical leadership capabilities and experience mentoring junior engineers
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging and optimization skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Python or Go
- Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks like React or Angular
- Hands-on experience with big data platforms and data pipelines
- Contributions to open source projects or personal coding projects
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Java certifications
